Arctic Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus parryii) in Haines Junction, Yukon Territory. The Arctic Ground squirrel is the largest of North america’s ground squirrels achieving lengths of up to 14 inches, and is named after William Parry the famous Arctic Explorer.
